I’m just an ordinary mum in Singapore—okay, maybe slightly more dramatic than average—who once found herself knee-deep in assessment books, red pens, and PSLE anxiety. Like most parents, I wanted my son to do well. But I also didn’t want him to grow up thinking that learning = stress, or that PSLE = the end of the world. (Spoiler alert: it’s not.)
